Memorial weekend

We were in Rexburg for memorial weekend. As always, we had a wonderful time with family and cant wait to go back!

My dad took us on an awesome plane ride. Avy actually really liked it. She fell asleep after being in the air for about 2 minuets.

Saturday we had our annual "day at the farm" party. It was a little windy but sunny and perfect for flying kites! Avy absolutely loved running around with her cousins, getting dirty, and playing with this months new littler of kittens. There is  new batch about every few months :)
Thanks grandma Janet for the Cinderella kite. Perfect for Avy!

Sunday we spent the day visiting the graves. Miss you Steven :(

And now in Idaho falls to visit Chris's grandparents.

The rest of the weekend Avy just played with her best friends! I wish we lived closer because she can not get enough of her cousins!!

A little remodel...

The month of May we decided to do a little remodeling in our house. Chris has wanted new carpet since we bought the house. So finally we decided to go ahead and get some nice carpet in our 3 bedrooms downstairs. Carpet shopping is really annoying. There are 400 different kinds to choose from... but we really like what we found and it makes our house feel nice and comfortable.
Because we were getting new carpet, we though it was a good time to paint/redo Avys room and get it ready to share with her little brother. She loves her new room and loves sleeping in a big girl bed!
My iphone camera doesn't show it very good. The walls are light gray (even though they look a little purple in these pics). And we still have to hang some pictures, but for the most part we are done :)

We have also been painting the outside of our house. We started last year and are finally finishing it this spring. It is the same colors, just a fresh new coat. It is pretty hard to paint with Avy running around and getting into the paint, but now we are done and can finally check that off the list.

We are also redoing our master bedroom but it is not finished (not even close) so I will post pictures of that later :)

These are just some cute pictures from Mothers day. It was about 95 degrees and just a beautiful day. I love this little girl more then anything in the world. And I'm so grateful we have a healthy baby boy on the way. What honor and privilege I have to be their mother!

(thank you pregnancy for giving me that beautiful double (triple) chin... )

This is  little video of what our week was like when the old carpet was taken out and new installed. Basically everything we owned was in our front room and kitchen. What a huge mess!! But it was pretty fun sleeping in the living room for a few days.

Camp fire at McArthurs

Diana and Brayden are redoing their back yard this summer and they started with building an amazing fire pit. It is so awesome. We made tinfoil dinners and smores. Perfect little evening with our best buds.

Avalee 18 months

Height- 2 feet 7 inches (22%)
Weight- 21 pounds (27%)

This girl is seriously the funniest, cutest, sweetest little person in the world. I wish I could bottle her up and keep her at 18 months forever. Here are some things she is up to... (warning- this is a list for me and my records. Feel free to skip this part if you are not interested in knowing every detail of her little life :) )
- talking talking! Some of her favorite words are: HI!!! mama/dada, more, no, bird, car, ball, plane, wawa (water), yaya/yes, baby, up, down, nunus (noodles), yummm, milk, bubbles, balloons, eggs, ears, eyes, nose, shoes, uh oh!, ow wee,  . Those are just some words she says a lot. But every time we say something she tries to repeat it. She is always trying to say every word we are saying. When we read the alphabet book she can do the sound of every letter. And has every animal sound down perfect. She is always talking in her own little gibberish. Her language is not always clear but she is very good at communicating. We understand each other good.
- She is the best dancer I know. ALWAYS wanting to put in a dance movie or have the dance music on. She is really good at following along with the wiggles or Lorrie band movie.
-Takes one nap a day for about a hour or two. Sleeps through the night like a star.
- She is still totally obsessed with her blanket and cries the entire time its in the washer. She literally snuggles and loves on that thing all day long.
- Has 4 top teeth and 3 bottom teeth. She loves to brush her teeth- by herself!- not so much if we do it.
- She is still so tiny. Wearing mostly18 month clothes with a few 12 months and some baggy 24 month stuff.
- Her hair is to die for. So So curly and cute. I have to condition it every day before I do her hair or it is a total afro.
- She loves Cinderella. That is the only show she will sit and watch for more then 10 minutes and it is the only show she has watched from start to finish (including TV shows).
- She loves baby dolls and all her stuffed animals. She is always putting them to bed and telling me to SHHH! Or feeling them a bottle or giving them hugs or wanting me to put a diaper on them.
-She is such a good little eater. Everything we give her, she eats. But she knows where the chocolate and popcicles are and always wants some.
- She is my little shadow and wants to be "helping" me with everything. Loves doing dishes, cooking/mixing, pulling weeds (and the flowers), folding laundry, putting my makeup on and doing my hair. Everything we do together usually takes me twice as long as normal but she loves to help/ make a huge mess :)
- Loves books so much and is always bringing me a book to read to her.
- She is so good with my iphone and loves looking and pictures and videos of herself. She also knows how to call people so if you get a call from me with no response, it was Avalee saying hi :)
-Loves her cousin Madi and get so excited when she sees her.
- Loves going to the library and our play group.
- Loves being outside and playing at the park. She could swing for hours and is so brave going down big slides. She loves making "mud soup" and finding rocks to bring me.
- Is a great little climber. If I turn my back for 2 seconds she is usually up on a table or chair. Scares me so bad.
-She is doing really good in church nursery and has a few little friends she likes.
- She has a pretty impressive fake cry and is getting really good at throwing fits. Its really fun.
- Is so good at giving hugs and kisses.
- Loves going to stores and always wants down so she can run away and pull everything off the shelves. And she is fast!

We really can not get enough of this baby. Love her more and more every day!!

 At library story time

Making mud soup- She decided all the letter magnets needed to be mixed in...
 Church nursery

.
A few kids from the play group. Little Van is one month older then Avy and he loves her so much and is always yelling her name!
