Recently

This blog is basically a journal of everything Avalee, so I thought I would post some videos of her I had on my phone. I usually send these to Chris while he is at work in hopes it will make him want to come home early :)
(WARNING- mute videos! unless you want to hear a really annoying mom voice)

I have to keep my eyes on this babe... She is pulling herself up on everything. Pretty funny. I took this a week ago. She is much faster now
In just one week, her belly scooting has turned into this...
I got her a new little table for $8 at "kidz again". Its practically brand new. I disinfected it really good though! She LOVES it!!!
And other news, I went to a rodeo with my girl friends. It was really fun! Good for me to get out of the house. I love these girls!

One left. One Came.

July 10th Chris's wonderful Grandma Ardith Carlson passed away. It is sad she is gone but we all know she is in a much better place and is so happy. She was such an amazing woman and we will miss her.
This is a picture from memorial weekend. She hand quilted this blanket for Avalee. It is amazing (hand stitched around every little bear!)

July 11th was the exciting arrival of baby Madilyn!! Im so excited she is finally here. And she is a beauty! So much dark hair. Her and Ava will be best little buddies.
Avy really wanted Madis blanket in this pic- it looks like she is about to punch her out! haha- maybe it will take awhile to become friends :)

Because of the funeral and the new baby, we made our way to rexburg again. I was not very good with taking pictures this trip. But Chris and I did go out on our first date in 8 months ( if you call the $2 movie a date. ha) Thanks Mandy and kids for watching Avy so we could go out. We were both dying at the end of the movie to go get our baby. ha- pathetic!! I know.
These are a few pictures I took on Sunday while we were in Thomason's BEAUTIFUL back yard. There is nothing better than a Rexburg summer night, playing in the back yard with family :)

8 months

7 to 8 months has been a big one. She seems more like a little toddler and less like a baby.
a few new things about our precious babe...
- She is on the move!  Crawling...well trying. More like pulling herself/ sliding on her forehead/ rocking on her knees. And also rolling everywhere.
- Pulling herself up to standing on the coffee table, her crib, the couch and mostly onto me.
- She will walk along the table, crawl, roll, do anything if these little guys are involved. She is kind of like a puppy ha- if treats are there, she will do her tricks. Chris actually really likes them too- HA!

- She wont take her binky any more. She just sucks her bottom lip/ tongue to soothe herself.
- She is down to only a hour morning and afternoon nap. The rest of the time I have to figure out how to entertain her. Still wakes up once in the night around 4 for a quick snack :)
- LOVES blankets. And MUST have one to sleep. Usually covering her face. Her favorite blanket is mine from when I was a baby- go figure. She loves when I tickle her legs to sleep and usually looks like this- haha!

- She is such a good little eater. The only thing she has not liked so far is green beans. I dont blame her.
- She is so smiley and happy. Just the sweetest little angle!

The 4th

The 4th of July means no work for Chris!! wahoo. So we went camping. We met up with Jason and Allison in a little place called Pine Idaho. I had never heard of it before either....Anyways, it was Beautiful!!! Perfect weather for camping. We sat in hot springs, floated the river, went fishing, and even a little parade in the town of feathervill. (Parade-aka- two 4-wheelers decorated in streamers and one truck full of kids squirting water.) Me and Ava were not able to participate in most of the activities but it was still way fun.
Thanks Jason and Allison for letting us crash your get-a-way :)
Of course we got homemade ice cream from the one restaurant in feathervill. It was amazing. Avy obviously LOVED it....im a bad mom for letting her eat it, I know.

other then that adventure, our days recently look a little like this....

(the pic on the left is in honor of Colton for his birthday. Playing "dress ups" haha)
Lots of days walking down to the pool...

and a little of this :)
