Rexburg week- memorial weekend

May17-18
Chris had the weekend off so we went to Rexburg to visit family. Saturday morning, all the Thomasons got together to help Bonnie plant her flowers and have a BBQ. It was way fun. I hope we can make this a tradition!

May 18-24
Chris went back to Boise and the kids and I stayed in Rexburg. It was fun playing with cousins and being around family, but also a very hard week. Bonnie had another surgery and was put on hospice. To say she had a difficult week, is a huge understatement. But seriously, she is superwoman. It is unbelievable what she can do while being so sick. She taught her class on Monday, had a major surgery on Wednesday, and had us all running errands and getting things organized for another big get-together for the weekend. I don't know how she does it all. She is amazing.

I managed to snap a few pictures of the week...
This is Jett pack standing up to any and everything
Went to Coltons preschool graduation. It was absolutely adorable
Eating ice cream with Gma and Tori
Jumping on the neighbors tramp. Avy was in heaven and Jett couldnt stop laughing. (Avys hair! ha)

May 24-25
We visited the graves for memorial weekend. Not exactly "fun" but a good day to remember those we have lost. The Thomasons always go to Bonnies side of the family. And the Websters always visit our Steve.

Avalees dance Recital

Avys dance recital was last weekend and she was amazing. I am SO proud of her. Just 4 short months ago, she would not even go into dance class without me right next to her. She is in a class with 3-4 year olds and she is the only 2 year old. But our sweet little Avy went on a big stage by herself and was totally the best one out there! I got to be a back stage mom with her class and I was even proud of how she acted backstage. She was happy and cooperative and helpful.
She lost her skirt and shoe in the middle of one of the performances, but it did not even phase her. She kept going like a champ. I was getting complements from everyone on how adorable and awesome she was. Even at her little 2 year old self, I can see so much talent and potential. She blows me away with how incredible she is.
( the video camera quality was horrible. Sorry)

Her tap dance- "Who let the Dogs out?!"

( the video camera quality was horrible. Sorry)

Ballet dance- "Just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down"

Avy was so lucky to have Madi, Diana and Brayden come watch. That was so sweet of them. Im sure Brayden loved it :) We cant wait for Madi to start next year!

Even Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Warren were able to come. They were in town for Mothers day and it worked out perfectly for them to see Avy. It was such a  special treat to have them there.

little Jett did so good and fell asleep. He probably wasn't the only man asleep :)

 Avy and her "backstage mom"

mothers day

Mothers day was extra special this year because our wonderful mom, Bonnie, was able to come to Boise and visit. She has been very sick and it was not easy for her to come. But she did it! And we loved having her and Warren here. They came for Cams (Chris's cousin) mission farewell. Cam did a great job and he will be an awesome missionary.
It was such a fun day and so nice to spend mothers day with my amazing mother in law. I am so incredibly bless to have such a wonderful mom and mother in law. I love them both so much and am so grateful for their examples and love for me. And I cant even explain how grateful I am to be a mom to my little Avy and Jett. Being their mom is the best gift and privilege I will ever have.

Maylin, Kerry and Cam at the farewell party. We love this family so much!

Avy played with their dog, Gussy, the entire time. He could probably eat her if he wanted... but he is so sweet and she loves him. Everyone kept saying we need a dog... no

Jett 7 months

-19 pounds of cuteness ( 50% for weight and 60% in height)
- not crawling yet, but so close. Rocking on his hands and knees
- loves standing up to his toy, his crib and the coffee table. Still wobbly, but doing so good all by himself!
- still wakes up every 3 hours. Basically, I haven't slept in 7 months. The doctor told me to just shut the door, turn the monitor off, and let him cry it out.... But it's soooo sad and hard! I cave every night.
- he is a wonderful eater. I usually just blend up what we are eating and so far, he has liked it all.
- He loves Avy and laughs at her all the time.
- takes 3 naps a day
- He is so tickelish and has the cutest laugh.
- has the most beautiful blue eyes. He is always getting complements :)

Zoo day

The weather in Boise has been beautiful this last week and we have been taking full advantage of it. Lots of walks, picnics outside, and only wearing diapers :) We went to the Zoo with Diana and Brayden last week and it was so fun. Perfect 75 degree weather. Avy loved it! And Jett put up with it :)

And this is what the rest of the week has looked like. ahh, I love summer

recently...

Jett got his hair cut! This time it was not just a trim... He looks so cute and grown up now. Such an adorable little man

Before (look how long his pony was! ha)

During...
and after! - After his haircut we went home and he got sick. He had a bad fever for 3 days and just didn't feel good. We cut off all his power :)

He is now back to his happy healthy self. And now, big enough to ride in the big boy cart. finally- my back couldnt take packing him around much more.

The weather is beautiful here. Everything is in bloom and so green. I love spring time- well I love how it looks but..... my body decided to get allergies for the first time ever this year and it has almost been the death of me for the past 2 weeks. But, atleast its warm and the kids love being outside.
Avy loves making her mud soup ( in princess dress and Cinderella heels- of coarse)

picnics outside everyday ( Jett might be eating a french fry. oops)

To say that Avy loved her Easter dress, would be an understatement. She requests to wear it FIRST thing when she wakes up everyday. We try and switch up the dresses, but this one is her favorite. She is totally obsessed with dresses and has to be wearing one always.
This is at 7 am...
