Basically this entire month our little family has been sick. Chris and I have had the sinus, sore throat, cough, fever crap. And poor little Avy has the dreaded RSV. It has just been horrible. I cant remember the last time I was this sick and little Avy has never been this sick. Throwing up everything, not sleeping, constant runny nose, fevers, bad cough, you name it and Avy has had it. So, we have actually hated February :( I'm not too sad to see it end.
I slept in this rocking chair for about a week straight. Well, tried to sleep
But we are finally on the tail end of all this sickness and starting to feel better. We have tried to go outside for little walks to get some fresh air and Avy loves it! She doesn't even care if I am around, she just takes off walking.
Valentines day was actually pretty fun even though we all felt like crap. We went out to Texas road house for dinner and Avy only threw up all over the table once! blaa
The fun Valentines packages helped cheer us up too. Avy was in heaven with those chocolates.
Avys valentines gift to me was taking a 2 1/2 hour nap snuggled next to me. It was awesome. Im trying to make it a every day habit for us both :)
look at those two teeth :) She now has one more on her top left and one bottom tooth (finally!!)! So add a little teething sadness in with all this sickness. bad combo :(
Because we haven't felt good enough to get out of the house much, I have tried to keep little Missy entertained at home. I saw this on pinterest and she actually really loved it. I hated the mess but it was worth the fun.
Colored whipped cream for painting fun. and yummy too
Just a fyi- I have disinfected our entire house top to bottom and thrown everything that can possibly go in the washing machine or dishwasher in there. Our house is clean and we are ready for friends and family to visit :) finally!!

January
Well January has basically been a frozen, snowy iceberg the entire time. I cant remember the last time Boise had snow on the ground for longer then 1 day. But this year, it has snowed and stayed frozen all month. Im ready for it to be over. Other then freezing to death, we have had some fun this month. Here are some highlights....
We have played in the snow a few times. It doesn't last very long though.
Diana and Brayden FINALLY moved to Boise. There are no words for how happy this makes me. I love having them close!!! Now Avy and I have buddies to hangout with.
The Websters and the Thomasons came to visit us this month. And I didn't take any pictures??!!! I have to stop slacking!! Well, both weekends were just wonderful. I would say the highlights for the girls was going to Costco, the mall, and hobby lobby. And the boys all went to a shooting range. What is it with Boys and guns? Chris is obsessed. haha
Chris has been keeping busy at work and I have been keeping busy chasing this little babe. Literally chasing. She is so much fun and sweet and has such a funny little personality. But keeps me going
The other day I was putting the dishes in the dishwasher while Avy was just playing in the kitchen. When the dishwasher was done I opened it up and the entire dishwasher was bright green and every dish was coated with waxy green crap. I looked in the bottom of the dishwasher and Avy had thrown some crayons in there. Ahhh!!@#$%!!....I have scrubbed and scrubbed and bleached but my dishwasher is still a light shade of green. All the dishes washed up good, but I made Avy help me wash every one! And she actually loved it.
She is now 14 months and is so fun. She is so smart and is starting to say a few little words like dada, mama, baba, hi, bird, all done, up, egg, eye, stairs and alot of gibberish. She still loves books and knows where every mouse and bird and star is on every page. She loves to be out in new places and if I put her down in a store I am running after her the entire time. Her teeth are starting to come in more and that has been fun. (not!) She currently has her 2 top middle teeth and is still working on the bottom two and the two top side teeth. Her blanket is still her best friend and is usually dragging it around all day. Its funny how she grabs the little fuzzy ties and rubs it on her mouth and hums. It really puts her into her happy place. She has started to like jewelery and shoes. Its fun to see the girlishness come out in her. And its funny (sometimes annoying) how she has learned to throw little fits when she wants something. She is just growing up and turning into a little girl!
She is my best little buddy and even though she drives me crazy sometimes, I love her to pieces and am so lucky to have her.

Christmas
Another amazing Christmas. There really is nothing better then spending Christmas in Rexburg with our families. I would love to share every fun detail, but Avy is napping and I also have 45 other things to do during her nap time.... So I will just say a few highlights and let the pictures talk for themselves.
Sunday we spent the evening with the Thomasons. A fun, loud, crazy, and mostly such a special evening on the true meaning of Christmas. We loved every minute! (i need a new camera- sorry for the fuzzy pics)
Christmas Eve was up at Mandy and Bradys. We had a great dinner and did the nativity but Im pretty sure Avys favorite part was singing "Here comes Santa". She was dancing like crazy!
Christmas morning was up at the Websters. Avy got a new little tramp and she loves it!! It is pretty dang cute. We had my moms famous christmas morning breakfast and it was amazing. Then we went to Les Mis as a family that afternoon. We all loved the show!
The rest of the week was spent playing with family. It was perfect!
We are now back in Boise and the Christmas decorations are down. Sad to see it end. But it was wonderful. We are so blessed to have such amazing family. Being with our family is what makes Christmas so great.
Now we are just having fun playing with all the new toys!!

Recently...
Not much has been happening around here. Just trying to get ready for Christmas. And keeping up with our little monkey :)
This is what happens when Avy and I go shopping.... She runs, points, grunts, screams and grabs everything she can get her little hands on. She doesn't care where I am at all. I chase her the entire time and nothing gets done. But secretly, I love it :) I could chase that little girl around all day.
The other night we went to a live Nativity. It was really sweet and very well done. It was cold but fun to get out. The real camel was freaking awesome!!

When we were home for Thankgiving my parents said Avy could have their old little slide. It had been sitting in the outside storage for about 10 years ( or more?) So we brought it back to boise and cleaned it up for her. Well, Avy LOVED it!! We put it in her room and she could not get enough of that little slide. She would climb up there all by herself and get so excited when it was time to come down. She even got to the point where she would start nodding her head and counting to 3 so she could go down and would go down by herself! She seriously loved it so much.
Well, Chris started to notice a smelly funk in Avys room. I thought it was just her powerful poopy diapers lingering. But after a few more days the smell got worse and we thought we should clean the slide again. So we started to take it apart and Avys poor little slide smelled like a dead rotting animal. There was something in there and is stunk SOO bad. So we had to throw it away. Sad day for Avy :( fun while it lasted
(she had to have socks on to go down fast- haha)
She turned 13 months on the 9th and she could not be more fun. She is a little mover. I have to keep my eye on her because she likes to get herself into trouble. She is starting to like coloring. Isn't she good?!
And BIG news- She finally got her first tooth!! The top left- weird because usually the bottoms come first but we will take it!! Its so cute and a sharp little thing.

I think we are all ready for Christmas and we are so so excited to go home for that Holidays!
And who knows, this might be my last post if the end of the world is on the 21st.... Chris bought a gun and I bought some extra noodles just in case....
On a side note- This week has been a really sad one. First, Avy is sick and it is horrible. I hate not being able to help her feel better :(
and second, the Sandy Hook elementary shooting has been on my mind and I just cant get over what a horrific, terrible tragedy it is. So many innocent children taken for no reason. Sometimes I just don't understand why God lets horrible things like that happen. I guess he needed all those little angles. So so sad. We are sending our love and prayers to them. I know I could not go on if that happened to my little Avy.
