4th of July and camping in Stanley
For the 4th of July this year we went to the annual Thomason camp out in Stanley Idaho. It was so much fun! Perfect weather and such a beautiful camp site. Here are ( a ton) of pictures from our little weekend...
We drove up on the 4th and met everyone for the fire work show in Stanley. It was actually a pretty impressive show for such a small town. There was a little school with a playground close so we all played and took pictures of the amazing sawtooth mountains. They are breath taking- so beautiful.
Chris, Avy and I spent most of the fire works in the car because she hated them so much and would not stop crying... maybe next year she will like them :)
The rest of the weekend was full of motor bikes & four wheelers, river rafting, camp crafts, eating way too much food, and talking around the campfire. Avy and I stuck around camp most the time. She is too little for most the activities and Im too big! But Avy was in heaven playing in the dirt and collection 400 rocks and playing in the river. It was seriously so much fun and we are already getting excited for next year.
Avalee absolutely adores these little girls! She would yell "sara" and "Toori" the entire time. Thanks Tori and Sierra for playing with her the entire time!
Avys new best friend, Gus. You would think she would be scared of such a HUGE dog, but she loved him and chased him around camp the entire time.
Just painting some crafts and making bead necklaces.
This was our little home for the weekend. The tent is made for the bed of the truck and has a air mattress in the back. Its actually really comfortable and we all slept great!
We always camp in the Yankee fork of Stanley. It has a lot of history with miners and dredging for gold. There is a little ghost town close where you can shift the dirt for gold. It is pretty fun and everyone always finds ( a little!!) gold to take home :)

Back in Boise
After two weeks of fun in Rexburg, we are now back in Boise. Here are a few random pics from the past week or so...
welcome back to boise... it is so HOT!! Thank goodness for AC!!
We have been enjoying a lot of popcicles and trying to stay inside during the day. Its almost too hot to go outside! Especially when our pool is closed for repairs this week... so dumb
Two of my beautiful sisters-in-law came to visit for a night. We talked for hours, had some amazing manicures and pedicures and shopped a ton. I love these girls so much. How luck am I to have such fun and sweet sisters!
getting patriotic for church :)
We went to Eagle Island one day and Avy had a blast. It was a very busy Saturday with waaayyy too many people smoking and in swimsuits that they should never wear and dirty water.... but Avy loved it :)
And cleaning out the cooler for the camping trip. Avy has figured out how to take her diaper off and is usually running around like this :)

Rexburg vacation: Relay for life
Thanks to Doug and Bradys business- The Dealio- Our family was able to participate this year in the Relay For Life. I had never been and Im really glad we did it. It was pretty cold but so much fun hanging out with our family and walking around the track together. It has been 13 years since Steve died from cancer and it was still a pretty emotional night for me and my family. We all miss him so much and wish he could have been there with us.
