Halloween

Halloween was fun but not that eventful. We went to Chris's office during the day and Jett got to dress up in his little lion costume (sticking with the wizard of OZ theme). We were going to go trick-or-treating but Jett decided he didn't want to go and was screaming most of the evening :) So we stayed in and handed out candy. Avy loved when the door bell rang but was not too happy that we were giving all her candy to other kids.

The next day we headed to Rexburg to do the annual Thomason Halloween doughnut making party!! It was a blast and I probably had a dozen doughnuts to myself. But they are unreal good!!! And it wouldn't be a party with out shooting some guns :) Chris was in heaven

Let the Halloween festivities begin!!

Pumpkin carving with our favorite buddies! They both hated the pumpkin goo.

We went to my ward trunk or treat this weekend. Diana and Madi came with us. We have way too much fun dressing up these adorable little girls of ours.
A little background on Avys costume choice this year....
Most everyone in my family already knows this, but little Avy is obsessed with witches.... A few months ago we went to the DI and found some old VHS movies. One was the Wizard of OZ. Well, she fell in love with that show!! Every day, multiple times a day, she wants to watch the "witch". She gets so excited and nervous when the wicked witch comes on. And she is surprisingly not scared of her, just thinks the witch is funny. The witch fetish has grown now to all witches and just love for everything Halloween in general. Its pretty cute how she loves the show and knows all the songs to Wizard of OZ and loves Halloween, but the second Halloween is over we are putting all the "witch dolls" and Halloween decor away and moving on to Thanksgiving and Christmas obsessions... I cant have her loving witches forever! Such a funny little girl :)
So obviously, she wanted to be a WITCH for Halloween :) I give you the wicked witch of the east! (She is always saying "get you pretty!!")

(whenever we say smile for the camera she sticks her jaw out like that. Not sure why, bit its funny how you can see how she only has 3 bottom front teeth. haha)

Our sweet husbands volunteered to stay home and watch little Jett for me....And maybe watch the BSU vs BYU game. So generous of them :)
So in love with this little chunk!

1 month old

Our little Jett is already 1 month old. It is crazy how fast this month has gone. He is getting so big and is already changed so much.
I wrote about Avy every month her first year and I love reading it so I am going to try my hardest to do the same for Jett. Just a few things I want to remember about him... probably nothing anyone else wants to read, but I dont want to forget anything. Hopefully I can keep my blog up when he starts sleeping through the night. Right now the only time I have to blog is an the middle of the night when Jett wont sleep :) aww the joy of new borns

- Jett is a little tank! He is getting so big. Already up to 11 pounds and has the most adorable chubby cheeks. He is in 0-3 month clothes. Im so glad he is a good eater!
- He LOVES bath time. Always chills him out and can get him relaxed
- His favorite position is being swaddled up and pat on his back while I sit and bounce on the exercise ball. Thats actually what im doing right now and he is in heaven.
- He has good and bad nights. His longest stretch of sleep has been 3.5 hours and that is rare- usually up every 2 hours on the dot. And when he wants to be awake from 1-4 or 5AM, he will be awake and there is nothing I can do to convince him otherwise.
-doesn't like a binki :( I have tried to force him to like it but it usually just makes him mad
- he throws up and burps SO much. I always have milk spit up on my clothes (or on my face) and he will scream and scream until every little burp it out of his tummy,
- Most the time he is such a sweet and nice litttle guy but when he is mad, he can scream! I don't think he is colic and I can usually can calm him down, but he can get pretty loud. Still a pretty cute mad face though.
-So alert and bright eyed. He could beat anyone at a staring contest
- So strong! He can do impressive little baby pushups on his tummy and can stand on his little legs like a pro!
- Im so in love with his hair! when he gets out of the tub its really curly. I bet we will have another curly haired baby :)
- I have been pleasantly surprised by how well Avy has adapted to having a new baby in our family. Its just like he has always been here. She loves giving him kisses and showing me how "soft" she is when she rubs his hair. And Jett tolerates Avy's accidental smacks to his face very well. She has her moments when she wants me to "put Jett to sleep" or "daddy hold Jett" or " hold AA!! No Jett!". But for the most part, she is always right by me helping change his diaper or pat him to sleep. And she is the only one who can totally tune out his crying. Its pretty awesome

We love him more than anything and are so lucky to have him  in our family! This amazing little boy has already blessed our lives so much

the magic exercise ball. Does the trick every time. Avy usually likes to get in on the bouncing too. We could be in the circus.

Visitors!!

Some of our favorite people came to visit last weekend. My parents came and brought Anni and Kate with them.  Avy was on a new level of happiness... She LOVES Anni and Kate SO much! We had so much fun while they were here. We did a lot of shopping and a lot of eating but mostly played with all the toys they brought for Avy and Madi ( Thank You!!!). And my dad, Chris and Brayden had a blast shooting their guns, killing pumpkins and eggs.  I say this every time, but I wish we all lived closer. It is so sad when they leave.
Thanks for coming to visit Mom, Dad, Anni and Kate. We love you all so much and cant wait to see you again!!

These two are a handful in the mall... good thing we had Kate and Anni to help us!!

On a random side note, Avy and I made an apple pie :) love fall time

3AM thoughts...

Jett really likes to be wide awake in the middle of the night... so because I get to be awake with him, I thought I would update my blog.
Even though I haven't slept in 3 weeks, my house is a total disaster, and I never get out of my pajamas, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and love for these two babies. I am so lucky to have such beautiful, healthy and sweet children. And so thankful for my sweet husband who works so hard so I can stay home with them. I am so blessed!! I love them all more than words

2 weeks old. strong little guy!
