Easter

Im sorry Avalee, I had to get a picture. so funny but so so sad! She was shaken up all day.

This year we spent Easter in Rexburg (surprise) with all our family. And I honestly wouldn't have it any other way :) We had a blast. Avalee and I spent the week before Easter in Rexburg. Every day was seriously so fun. We went shopping, had a fabulous pedicure, played with cousins, bowling, and had some amazing food. My mom made sure all my pregnancy cravings were met :) Chinese Fongs dinner, Huge green salad covered in Chizs ranch, Mexican plum loco, her home made bread- mmmm-, and enough easter candy to last a lifetime. (Im taking this cravings thing too far- Im going to get HUGE!!)
Here are some pics from the week....

The eggs and basket- best toy a one year old could ask for.

Enjoying our ice cream fill for the day.

She hates when we brush her teeth but loves playing with the toothbrush and paste.

We went shopping at toysRus and Avy managed to hug (and pull off the shelf) every baby there. Such a good little mommy. (hello crazy legs?? ha)

We got to spend some time with Doug and Aly and their babies- Avy was chasing those kitties all over. I hope they are not traumatized.

My family was kind enough to give into one of my many cravings ( I keep using pregnancy as an excuse but I actually crave Plum Loco all the time) Delish!!!

We had a totally awesome night of bowling and mini golfing with the Webster clan. So much fun! Avalee was in heaven.

(notice Avy stealing everyones golf balls. ha)
This was suppose to be a really cool picture with a huge double rainbow in the back but it didn't really turn out that way...still adorable kiddos

We started off the Easter festivities with the Thomasons. Bonnie and Warren obviously had an amazing dinner and a epic Easter egg hunt. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we spent most of the day sitting in their beautiful back yard just talking and laughing. The kids were in heaven riding the four wheelers and motor bikes. Such a perfect day.

(warning- I got a new camera for my birthday and I'm totally in love with it. So just enjoy the 400 pictures I took trying to figure out how it works)

Easter Sunday was spent with the Websters. We spent the day playing with Easter baskets and toys and cousins and more eating. Avy decided to take a nap right durring Church so I obviously had to take a nap with her- oops. Sorry. But my mom made cute little easter projects for us to do so we did remember the true meaning of Easter :) It was another beautiful day and we had a wonderful time!!
I tried to do a mini photo shoot with the little girls and their Easter dresses. Now that I have this fun camera I try to pretend I'm a professional but I actually have no idea what I am doing. They still turned out pretty cute.  Most adorable dresses ever (thank you Janet)

End of March update...

Well, we started off the month all sick again. The weather was crappy and we were bored. But now we are all feeling good and healthy (knock on wood) and the weather is so beautiful. We are all ready for spring!

I wanted to find Avy a little bike for the summer. So I went to walmart and the little tricycles were not only way to big for her, but expensive! I saw this little four wheeler and it was the same price as the little trike so we got the ATV!! It is so funny. She cant quite steer yet, but it sure is cute.

Her cute curly hair is actually getting pretty long. We can finally do little pig tails. CUTE!
And Im pretty sure everyone knows by now BUT.... We are expecting baby #2 the end of September!! She is already so good with babies :)

It was a little surprise but we could not be more excited! I am now 15 weeks and feeling so much better. Those first few months are killer :(
I have been really craving icecream (or just using the pregnancy as an excuse to eat it all the time) So it has become part of our night time routine

I am also taking every opportunity I have to take naps. I know when the baby comes naps wont be a part of my life any more :(

A few days in Rexburg

Because my parents were in Boise for my birthday weekend, Diana and I decided to hitch a ride back to Rexburg with them and visit for a few days. It was really nice to spend some more time with my family and let Avy play with her cousins some more.
I also got to see my good friends Kaeli and Tiana and their 4(!!!) little girls. And I went to lunch with Jenna and her two kiddos. They are all so cute and such good little mommies. I wish we lived closer to them :( I don't get to see them enough. (and I didn't take one picture- DUMB!)

Anniston and her mini me, Avy. They are the same person, just 11 years difference.

It was so fun waking up and having Diana and Madi there to play with every morning. Diana, do you want to live together??!! I think it could be fun :)

Movie night at grandmas- best cousins ever!!

My mom also made Avy and Madi some new blankets while we were there. We are trying to get rid of the old rag she carries around everywhere but she is still pretty attached.

The main reason I wanted to come back to rexburg was to see Anni and Bonnies school play! Anni is one lucky girl to have Bonnie as a teacher and Avy is so lucky to have her as a grandma!! She is amazing! The play was so awesome and Anni did an amazing job! Her dance moves were the best part of the play for sure!!

Unfortunately, Avy and I got sick AGAIN!! On the day we went back to Boise. Seriously? Was 4 weeks of the horrible cold/flu not enough??Uggg- So we are currently trying to get over that crap. But thank goodness my mom made her another blanket because Avy has thrown up on all her other ones.  (Isn't the yellow and flowers so cute?!)
Hopefully this round wont last another entire month. blaaa

A weekend of basketball and birthdays

The first weekend in march always means two things... my birthday and Madison high school state championships. I actually don't really care about the basketball part but its an excuse for my family to come to Boise and visit for the weekend. It was honestly so much fun having my sister and her kids and my parents here. I have been so home sick for them! And Avy is so in love with those kids!! She kind of has a mellow personality and doesn't get overly excited about anything, but when she sees her cousins she freaks out with excitement. She could not get enough of them.

Avalee wasn't too sure about the ball games. She didn't really like how loud it was. But she did like the popcorn, ice cream and her new Madison shirt! ( how gorgeous is my mom?! I steal from her wardrobe every time I go to Rexburg.)

Swimming at the hotel was a huge hit. She loves the water!

And we finished off the fun weekend with my little birthday party. Pizza, ice cream cake and my family- I could not ask for more.

Another hit of the weekend was Krispy kream- a must every time the kids are here :)
It was such a fun weekend and I am ready for you all to come back!! please!!

Sick.

Basically this entire month our little family has been sick. Chris and I have had the sinus, sore throat, cough, fever crap. And poor little Avy has the dreaded RSV. It has just been horrible. I cant remember the last time I was this sick and little Avy has never been this sick. Throwing up everything, not sleeping, constant runny nose, fevers, bad cough, you name it and Avy has had it. So, we have actually hated February :( I'm not too sad to see it end.

I slept in this rocking chair for about a week straight. Well, tried to sleep

But we are finally on the tail end of all this sickness and starting to feel better. We have tried to go outside for little walks to get some fresh air and Avy loves it! She doesn't even care if I am around, she just takes off walking.

Valentines day was actually pretty fun even though we all felt like crap. We went out to Texas road house for dinner and Avy only threw up all over the table once! blaa
The fun Valentines packages helped cheer us up too. Avy was in heaven with those chocolates.

Avys valentines gift to me was taking a 2 1/2 hour nap snuggled next to me. It was awesome. Im trying to make  it a every day habit for us both :)

look at those two teeth :) She now has one more on her top left and one bottom tooth (finally!!)! So add a little teething sadness in with all this sickness. bad combo :(

Because we haven't felt good enough to get out of the house much, I have tried to keep little Missy entertained at home. I saw this on pinterest and she actually really loved it. I hated the mess but it was worth the fun.
Colored whipped cream for painting fun. and yummy too

Just a fyi- I have disinfected our entire house top to bottom and thrown everything that can possibly go in the washing machine or dishwasher in there. Our house is clean and we are ready for friends and family to visit :) finally!!
