I never imagined how much I would love that little peanut. What an amazing little girl.

fun week in rexburg

Last week we had a busy, but very fun time in Rexburg. These are a few of the highlights......(get ready for picture overload)

Avy turned 5 months old on the 9th and is getting so big and sweet. She is starting to sit by herself....for a few seconds. She is so smiley and is always talking. Her and grandpa Rob could say "hi" to each other all day :)

She met some new friends. Emeree and Wakely are her new best buddies. My friends, Tiana and Kaeli, met me for breakfast. It was so good to see them and their adorable little girls.  (Ill spare you the picture of us- we were in PJs with no makeup)

One night my mom and I decided to go see the new BYU-I building. It has such beautiful art work. Avalee actually really loved it and even acted interested.  :)

Diana and I got to take Nana to her hair appointment and then go out to lunch. Nana is amazing- She is 97 years old and still gets her hair styled and colored, and has regular manicures and pedicures. And after all that, she has the energy to go out to lunch! We are so lucky to have her. Not many people can say they got to spend the day with their GREAT GREAT Grandma!

Another amazing woman we got to see was Grandma Ardith. It was her 89th birthday on Friday. She has been through so much in the last few years. Fighting breast cancer, chemo therapy and other heart problems. She is such a good example of staying positive and optimistic about life. Another wonderful great grandma Avy has.

 April 10th was the 12 year anniversary of my brother Steven dying. It never gets easier and I honestly am still really mad about it. I don't think I will ever understand why he had to die. All I know is how grateful I am to have such an amazing family and that I will see Steve again.

Easter

No better place to spend Easter then good old Rexburg. We have had a busy, but wonderful weekend!
I got in Rexburg on Friday (Avy slept the entire way! WAHOO) That afternoon my mom took me and Diana to get our Easter present- Pedicures!! I hope my mom understands how much I loved this gift. My toes have not been painted since I was about 5 months pregnant. I couldn't reach my toes when I was prego and after I had Avy, I just didn't care! I feel like a new woman with my toe nails looking cute! And Avy was sure exited to go to Grandmas and get into the jumper- she sure loves it!

 Saturday we went to the Thomasons and had a big Easter party. Egg hunts, presents, Easter crafts, and FOOD!!! Bonnie and Warren amaze me every time we go over there. They ALWAYS have such a fun activity or program for the kids. We did this fun little craft making a Easter Lilly out of hand prints. They were so cute! Avy had the smallest lily with her tinny hand :) (She said she got the idea out of the Friend magazine if you want to try it. Such a cute idea!) And Avy got her first pair of flip flops from Gramsy. They are freaking adorable.

Sunday we went to church with the Websters and had an amazing Easter dinner. Avy just jumped like a good girl while we ate- so cute! (I am convinced my mom and mother-in-law are the BEST cooks in Rexburg!) After dinner we had a egg hunt- Mind you everyone looking for the eggs was over the age 23- haha- It was still pretty hard though. Tricky Easter bunny :)

Good Bye St. Alphonsus!!

I tried to keep working... I really did. It was just too hard- trying to find a babysitter, working every weekend, never seeing my husband....we tried for 3 months. But it is best for all of us if I just stay home with my baby :) My last day was April 1st. It was a little bitter sweet. I loved my job. I have worked at St. Al's for almost 5 years. I hope I can get back working flex or part time down the road, but for right now my most important job is loving this little doll.
I think she is the most happy I'm not working any more :) On my days off, she wont really let me put her down. And that is ok!

 on my last day, Chris had to work (and forgot to tell me...) and we didn't have a babysitter. So what do you do? Take your baby to work! (I hope my boss doesn't read this) She was such a good little helper. Good thing it was soooo slow that day!

I made some great friends working at St. Als. These are just a few random pics I found. Wish I would have taken more... lol

Well, so long work. I am so dang lucky to be able to stay home with my little Avy. Thank you to my AMAZING husband, who works SO hard so I can stay home.

Now that Im not working, I hope this doesn't mean I have to start sewing or cooking and doing creative mom things, because its not going to happen :) But I do have the mom robe, hair in a bun, and no make up look down perfectly!!

There have been a lot of walks outside. It is starting to look like spring in Boise and Avalee loves it!

4 months

-weight- 12 pounds (40%)
-Height- 25 inches (90%!!!)
-sleeps 4-6 hours at night.
She is such a happy baby. Our doctor said, " she is healthy, beautiful and perfect."  We think so too!!

The bad part about being 4 months old...

We love this little girl so much. She is an angel!

and a BIG congratulations to Diana and Brayden- They are getting ready for their little girl in July. Avy is going to have a new best buddy!

 

My birthday weekend!

To celebrate my birthday I went to Rexburg! Party central :) But seriously, I had the best time and my family made it a wonderful birthday. Chris had made plans to visit some of his dental school friends in Utah that weekend so I drove to Rexburg with Avalee on Tuesday night (scary, but she slept the entire way!!) and he came to Rexburg on Saturday.

Chris was in Utah with these handsome boys. They went to a Jazz game (jealous)

And I was in Rexburg with these amazing kids! 

I had a few birthday dinners-no better way to celebrate then pigging out! :) Friday I went with the Websters to Plum Loco in Idaho Falls ( If you haven't been there, you need to go!!). Saturday we went with the Thomasons to Outback. Sunday we ate dinner at the Websters, then had birthday cake at the Thomasons..... and all that eating explains why I came back to Boise 5 pounds heavier!! but so worth it :) I absolutely LOVE LOVE getting together with our families. I have the most amazing family in the world and am so luck to have them!!

Cant forget to document this little gem. Every kid that has been in the Webster family has jumped in this.Why don't they make them any more? She Loved it!!

and, We are SOOO ready for summer. 

She might need to get a little more chunk to fill out her swim suite but we are ready! So sick of being cooped up inside 

 Thank You to all my family for giving me such a great birthday. I am one lucky girl.
