Memorial weekend

The Thomasons had a big dinner on Saturday night. Love when everyone gets together.

Sunday we visited the graves for memorial day. It was so cold and rainy this year. But still nice to remember our family who has passed.

 Avy is sitting up all by herself and rolling. When she is on her tummy she scoots her legs up and pushes forward. If she could just lift those cheeks up, she would be crawling. What?!

 

Poor baby had to get shots again. But I got a little smile out of her after the rude nurse left.

mothers day

                     I have only been a mom for 6 short months but I have a whole new respect for all mothers. A few things I have learned...
-I now understand why my parents wanted to kill every boy that hurt my feelings.
-I feel bad I ever thought I was ugly because now I know how beautiful my mom thinks I am and how bad she would feel if anyone ever said differently.
-I am now so much more grateful for everything my mom did/does for me. Even little things like finding time to make a warm dinner. I now understand this is hard and she did it every day of my life.
-I want to congratulate any mom that gets herself and her children ready, puts makeup on, real clothes on, and gets out of the house more then 4 times a week. That is a serious accomplishment and takes effort. I cant say I do this yet...Im trying for just 2 times a week. baby steps
-Most of all, I understand how much my mom loves me. She always said it, and I always knew it, but now I understand it. I would rather die than have anything happen to my baby and I am sure my mom feels the same way about me. Some days I feel like Im going to burst with love for my little Avalee. I will spend the rest of my life making sure Avalee knows how much I love her and how I would do anything for her.
             I know my list of, "holy cow, I cant believe my mom did this for me" or, "Gzzz, now I understand why my mom feels this way", will keep growing and growing. I am learning how hard, amazing, exhausting, terrifying, and rewarding motherhood can be. I feel so lucky I have Avalee and can be a mom.
I am just so grateful for my amazing mom. She really is one of my best friends and I honestly could not be where I am without her. And I am also so lucky to have an incredible mother in law that is seriously the sweetest person and has been so kind and generous to me. Avalee has the 2 most amazing grandmas in the world. Period.
(and mom, I know you are reading this and correcting my grammar and spelling..Sorry, I'm tired and don't care to correct it all- haha)

 Chris is such a wonderful husband. He got me a beautiful necklace with a little girl charm. So cute. And he got flowers for my pots outside. Such a sweetheart.

Visitors!

Warren and Bonnie came to visit. We love visitors!!! 

We had a BBQ with Kerry and Maylin. So much fun when we all get together.

We went to Costco and they were handing out free creamies. Wow-Avy LOVED loved loved it! Probably not the best solid food to start with, but whatever- Grandma Bonnie was in town!

I don't want to forget...

These are just a few random things about my little Avy. This is totally a weird mom post that only I can appreciate. She is growing up SO fast and I feel like I have to document every little move she makes! So here it goes... (Thanks to my Iphone, I pretty much take a picture of everything- love it!!)

I don't want to forget how I'm her favorite :) If she is tired or sad, all she needs is her Binky, a blanket and her mommy.

She loves this guy too :).... He can ALWAYS make her smile. never fails

A little weird that Im posting this but- I don't want to forget how she plays with my face EVERY time she is eating! Funny girl

I don't want to forget:
-her beautiful big blue eyes
-how she sticks her tongue out when she laughs or starts babbling.
-she never smiles for strangers. ha. Just looks at them like "why are you looking at me?"
-she is SO good when we go out. Never makes a peep. Just looks all around.
-she doesn't like to be alone and will cry if she realizes we are not in the room.
-She falls to sleep better if Chris and I are talking.
-Gets So excited when its bath time
-Always happy and excited in the morning
-never really cries. Just fusses a little when she is bored or tired. Such a good little girl!

rainy days

***rain rain go away. Me and Avy want to play***...OUTSIDE!
Not much has been going on around here. Except Avalee seems to be getting bigger every second and more active. Hope this weather clears up soon so we can start playing outside!
