sick day

Last week Avy had a really bad sick day. She was throwing up all night and all day. I literally sat a rocked in the chair and cuddled her for 24 hours. It was sad seeing her so sick but I loved the cuddle time.

Dont worry... a few days later she was back to herself and ready to play. We went to a play group at this fun kids place. Avy loved it!!

on a side note, I went to Les Miserables and it was AMAZING!!! Chris had a little work emergency and had to go to Spokane so I went alone :( Thankfully my mom drove all the way from rexburg to babysit so I could go. I absolutely loved loved LOVED the show and can NOT wait for the movie to come out!!!

This week...

BSU had their first home game. Thank goodness Avy wore her cheer outfit or they might not have won. Our team kind of sucks this year.

The weather has still been really nice. We love to go outside to watch Chris fly his little airplane. Ava loves being outside but every time we go out she gets sooo dirty. I seriously don't know how she gets so dirty so fast. Maybe because she is cruising everywhere!!

10 months

-It actually doesn't even seem like she is getting bigger because she is still in most of her 6 and 9 month clothes. But she is defiantly learning new tricks and getting smarter.
-She can stand by herself for a long time. She can take 3-4 steps but is still very content crawling and walking along furniture. She is really good at walking while holding into our fingers.
- She waves hi and bye to everyone! seriously every person in the store, all her toys, her bed.... she likes to wave
- She has found the stairs and gets really excited when she crawls up them. I finally got a baby gate.
-She is really good at pointing with her finger. She will point at something or someone and yell out "ugg" or "cooo". very loud sometimes. She also can point to the kitty or the owls eyes or the birds mouth in her books. And she points to mama and dada in the family pictures.
-loves to bang her head against stuff... weird. The floor, tables,and me! She head butts really hard!
- No real words.... that I can understand. She is "talking" all the time and sure thinks she is making real conversation.
-Still a really good eater. She loves shredded chicken and steamed broccoli. And always wants what we are eating.
-no teeth yet. awesome because I am still breastfeeding.
-Loves Mickey Mouse club house!! Well, she loves the open song and the hot dog dance at the end.... doesn't really care for the adventure in the middle.
- Still loves her blanket and sucks her lip and hums whenever she has it.
-loves books. She gets really into them and yells at each page.
- The ABC's and ittsy bittsy spider always make her smile.
- she is so ticklish and we tickle her often :)
- Loves being outside. But I have to watch her close because she also loves to eat the rocks, dirt and grass.
- She is so good and unloading every drawer and cupboard. And she is really good at taking all my shoes off the racks. Such a good "helper"

She is such a happy, funny and adorable little girl. We are so blessed to have her!

August

Ok where did August go? That month just flew by!
Well, here was August in a nut shell....
- Started off with the Webster Family pictures. Family pictures are SOO fun... can you hear my sarcasm?!

- We had alot of Visitors this month. Mandy and brady and the kids came the first week. Then Denise and her kids came the second weekend. It gets a little crazy with so many kids in our small house but I love it and Ava loves it the most!! She is always so happy when there are a lot of cousins around.
- Me and Avy now have library cards! She loves the books and I love the movie section. We rented the OC series. Chris and I are now addicted.
- It has still been really warm here. We try to go on walks or to the pool most days. Although its not too fun being outside because the air has been SO SO smoky. Idaho is basically on fire so it smells like a campfire everywhere.

- We went to Rexburg for labor day. We absolutely love being home with family. The weekend was full of family, shopping, food and endless political debates.....cant wait for the election to be over.

- It seems like more then ever Avy has grown up this month and is now a little toddler. She is very brave and sadly it sometimes ends in bruises :(

 -We took Ava with us to a nice restaurant and she was actually really good! As long as she had a tasty roll to chew on. 

all in all- August was a busy and fun month. But we are very excited for it to cool down and fall to come!

9 month pics

I went to the mall and decided to go into JCPenny really quick and get Avas 9 month pictures done.  I think they turned out pretty cute! The CD of all the pictures was like $200... ya right! so  I did the illegal and white trash route. Scanned them into the computer. They didn't scan very well but you can still see what an adorable little 9 month old we have.
The two black and white ones scanned in totally crazy when I did it in color. dang... but still cute.

- moving everywhere!!!! Crawling, walking along furniture, standing by herself, and holding onto fingers while walking. She is on the move and is too brave. HELP!
- loves food. I actually haven't found food she doesn't like.
- Still loves her blanket
- Is starting to get pretty attached to me. Good and bad thing I guess
-She waves hi and bye to everyone!
- claps her hands when she gets excited
- She loves chris's glasses. 
- still wakes up once in the night :(
- loves swimming!
-she hums and sucks her lip when she is tired or is around her blanket. The hums can get pretty loud. More like  loud moans. ha
- no real words yet. lots of babble and grunts though
- likes to bang her toys and hands on everything.
- SO good with her fine motor skills-she can pick up the most tiny crumb or small stand of hair and put it in her mouth. I spend most of my days mopping or vacuming now.
-so cute and fun! Love everything about this girl!

( it has been SOO hot these last few weeks. So she is in a diaper most the time)

Anni and Kate

Every new mom should find/kidnap some 10 and 8 year old girls to help with the baby. The girls came to stay with us for a week before school started and it was seriously so fun. And they were sooo helpful!! I wish I could keep them forever. Such awesome little babysitters. We miss you already girls! :(
While they were here we went to I-jump, the aquarium, mall, pool everyday, they made Avy headbands, and watched a lot of Olympics. Avy loves them so much.

I guess we did one thing that was not that much fun... the dentist :(   but Avy had fun playing all over the germ infested ground and nasty dental equipment.  eeek

 

Mandy, Brady and the boys came to pick them up and stayed few days. We had tons of fun at the pool and just hanging out together. I wish we lived closer!!!! boohoo :(

3 years

Today is our 3 year anniversary. I really cant believe it has been 3 years. And I can honestly can say I love, respect, appreciate, and need him so much more then I did 3 years ago. He is my everything. I never thought I would love worrying about what a person wanted for dinner or would care if his underwear was clean. I still want him around all the time. I don't feel comfortable in new places unless he is there. He really is my better half. I'm so grateful for him and could not imagine my life without him. 

For our anniversary we just gave each other a high five, said happy anniversary and he was off to work. Anyone want to come babysit so we can go out on a date? It has been awhile. ha!!

*update* mandy and brady offered to babysit while they were here and we decided we wanted to hang out with them instead... so I guess its our own faults :)  we spend penty of time together and not enough time with our families :)

Rexburg trip

The trip to rexburg started off with a little get together with my high school friends. It was amazing. Talking and laughing from 6pm to 6am was totally therapeutic for me. I wish I could see them every weekend. And thanks mom for taking such good care of my little Ava for me. It was pretty scary leaving her over night but we all survived.

The rest of the week was spent playing with cousins, huckleberry picking, playing at the farm, and spending way too much time shopping for family picture outfits. Anyway, it was way fun and I'm already excited to go back. These are some random pics taken from the week.
