My birthday weekend!

To celebrate my birthday I went to Rexburg! Party central :) But seriously, I had the best time and my family made it a wonderful birthday. Chris had made plans to visit some of his dental school friends in Utah that weekend so I drove to Rexburg with Avalee on Tuesday night (scary, but she slept the entire way!!) and he came to Rexburg on Saturday.

Chris was in Utah with these handsome boys. They went to a Jazz game (jealous)

And I was in Rexburg with these amazing kids! 

I had a few birthday dinners-no better way to celebrate then pigging out! :) Friday I went with the Websters to Plum Loco in Idaho Falls ( If you haven't been there, you need to go!!). Saturday we went with the Thomasons to Outback. Sunday we ate dinner at the Websters, then had birthday cake at the Thomasons..... and all that eating explains why I came back to Boise 5 pounds heavier!! but so worth it :) I absolutely LOVE LOVE getting together with our families. I have the most amazing family in the world and am so luck to have them!!

Cant forget to document this little gem. Every kid that has been in the Webster family has jumped in this.Why don't they make them any more? She Loved it!!

and, We are SOOO ready for summer. 

She might need to get a little more chunk to fill out her swim suite but we are ready! So sick of being cooped up inside 

 Thank You to all my family for giving me such a great birthday. I am one lucky girl.

3 months (and 1 week) old

 and this is what our lives really look like.... I look like a rat doing dishes and singing "I wanna dance with somebody!!" (awww Whitney) while Avy watches and coos with me :)

Happy and Sad Valentines day...

Happy:
- I have the 2 best valentines in the world!! Chris and Avalee :)
- Chris got me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and balloons and brought them to me at work. And he brought Avalee to visit for a little bit.
- I came home from work to a clean house and a yummy dinner.

Sad:
- I had to work 11 hours. Longest I have been away from my baby :(
- I had to drop off Avalee with a babysitter for the first time. I was really sad! (even though Jenny is SOOO sweet and was so nice to her all day!!)
-I ate way to much chocolate and donuts at work (this could actually go in the happy section)

 Even though I spent most of the day really sad at work, it ended up being a good valentines day. I came home and got to spend the night with my two loves and that is all that matters.

Recently...

Avalee turned 3 months on February 9th. She keeps getting more adorable every month :)

My wonderful parents came to visit and help babysit while Chris and I worked. Mom and dad, how much would we have to pay you to come babysit every weekend?? THANKYOU for coming!! We love you and miss you!!!

a few other random things.......
this is a huge driving hazard. I find myself looking at her more then the road. But I love it! and she looks so funny and cute! My car has now been mom-ified.

She had her first trip to the mall with grandma and grandpa. She was a perfect angel the entire time. She already loves shopping...

My sad attempt to go grocery shopping with Avy. How do people do it with the cart/car seat situation. I ended up only getting milk and a candy bar -haha. I will leave her home with Chris from now on :)

2 Months

January 9th marked the 2nd month mark! So many big changes-
Height- 22 inches (75%)
Weight- 10.6 pounds (50%) (doubled since birth!! such a good little eater)
*She loves the vacuum (While I was at work, chris ran the vacuum for a hour to keep her happy and blew a fuse hahah!!)
*She loves loud music. We have a lot of dance parties to Rihanna, Katy Perry, and the Wicked sound track. Loud classical music does the trick too but not as fun for me :)
*She sleeps 5-7 hours a night, with an occasional 8 hours!! Amazing, I know. I love her!! She started doing this around 8 weeks.
*Still loves getting her diaper changed.
*So smiley and is really good at talking. We coo and aww at each other all day :) (I can never catch her cute smile on camera.)
*Loves bath time and lotion rubs.
* starting to like her swing and smiles at herself in the mirror on her swing

WORST PART about being 2 months old is getting her first set of shots- wow- saddest thing in the world!! I swear the needle went to the bone. She was very cuddly and sad that day

She hates tummy time but we are getting better at it...

In all honesty- the first month is hard. No sleep, none of us have any clue what we are doing, sore body, makeup and looking cute never happened, lots of Avy crying, and I didn't even walk out if the house for 4 weeks- seriously.

BUT month 2 is FUN! She is so cute and is such a good baby! We are so in love with her. She is a happy healthy little sweetheart. Chris and I are always saying to each other, how did we get such a perfect cute baby??!! She really is perfect. We are so blessed. I know it is only going to get more fun and we will fall more in love with her every day.

So Blessed

On January 8th 2012, Chris gave Avalee a beautiful blessing. It was such a wonderful evening. We did it up at the Webster home and had ice cream and brownies after. Thank you everyone who came to celebrate our amazing little girl. We love her so much and are so lucky to have her!!

Avalee wore the blessing dress that I wore at my blessing! Thanks mom for keeping for us :)

two beautiful 8 year olds

On Saturday, January 7th, two special girls were baptized and we were lucky enough to attend both baptisms. 

Congratulations Kaytlyn Gardner and Sierra Thomason on your baptism. We are so proud of you and the decision you have made. You are both such beautiful girls and Avalee is so lucky to have cousins that lead such good examples. We Love you girls!!

Diana, Anni, Kate and I did a little musical number together for Kate's program.

Avy did SO good during both baptisms. Thanks to all the helpers :)

Sierra has such a beautiful voice and did such a good job singing at her baptism.

After Sierra's baptism we went to the Sizzler for lunch.
